COMING SOON! DSUM YOUTH FUNDRAISER!!!!

Washing cars in parking lots and driveways have a negative impact on our environment. Untreated wash water is discharged directly into the ground and storm sewer systems which empty directly into our local lakes and streams! Discharge of untreated wash water contains oil and other chemical waste products which are detrimental to our environment!!

Therefore, due to their concern for our environment, the DSUM Youth Group has partnered with Autobell Car Wash for a fundraiser to raise money to renovate their Sunday School/UMY meeting room…..without harming the environment!! In approximately 2 weeks, the youth will begin selling tickets for car washes at a cost of $13.95 per wash. This includes washing the outside of your car and cleaning windows and interior. Our youth will receive $6.97 from the total cost of each ticket sold! The tickets have no expiration date and are redeemable at any Autobell Car Wash in NC, SC, VA and GA! What a perfect stocking stuffer, birthday gift or treat for that college student!! Dirty car in the heat of summer or dead of winter? Relax in the waiting room while your car is cleaned to perfection by Autobell professionals!

The youth will sell these tickets for 1 month. In a few weeks, you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets immediately after the 11 o'clock worship service. Tables will be set up in the parlor and in the narthex for your convenience. If you have questions, please see a youth, Penny or Melissa.

Thank you in advance to our congregation for your continued love and generous support!

In peace and love, DSUM Youth Group

Edenton Street UMC Raleigh, NC

Featuring: Jim Harnish
Hyde Park UMC Florida

How can clergy and lay leaders work together to develop worship that fulfills the mission of the congregation, connects with those who do not attend, and makes use of the creative talents within the congregation? How can pastors be energized and equipped to communicate the gospel in a rapidly changing world of contemporary communication? This workshop will offer you practical help in developing a worship planning process that engages both clergy and laity in offering passionate, exciting and invitational worship.

If you would like to learn more, sign up for the workshop in the parlor. Transportation will be provided. These are great opportunities to explore new and creative way to worship our God.
