Fall 2011 Hispanic
Sunday School Class Begins

Our Burlington District Hispanic Missionary, Rev. Rosanna Panizo held the first adult Sunday School Class in Spanish on Sunday, September 11. She had 6 adults and 6 children and youth. The children and youth who already speak English attended classes in our children and youth departments. Some of the Hispanic adults who attended also attend English as a Second Language (ESL) classes during the week here at the church. The ESL classes are sponsored by Alamance Community College and their teacher is Lee Ann Walton. The classes meet five days a week in the afternoon and evening. Presently there are two classes, one at 3:45-5:45 p.m. and the other is at 6:00-8:00 p.m. If you meet any of our ESL or Sunday school students in your comings and goings at the church, please engage them in conversation and allow them to practice their English. You just might add a few Spanish words to your vocabulary.

Adult Sunday School Classes

No Christ-follower was intended to live in isolation. So come join others and find a place to belong and people with whom to share your life. Tremendous spiritual power is experienced when a group wrestles not only with the meaning of scriptural truth, but also its meaning for their lives. Adult classes for all ages meet each Sunday @ 9:45 a.m.
